SOTAC INVG HYPER Helmet Mount

The INVG features a single tri-lobe mounting arm that pivots on its own axis. This single-arm design prevents binding under pressure, tension, and field abuse. 

The INVG can rotate axially, allowing the monocular to easily pivot from one eye to the other. The goggles can be stowed with a lower profile compared to traditional mounts. When flipped up into the stow position, the goggle can be rotated further back toward the helmet.

The INVG uses a force-to-overcome stow mechanism, enabling quick and easy flipping between raised and lowered positions.

It utilizes a field-changeable interface system, allowing operators to switch between the standard bayonet horn and a dovetail interface. The unit comes standard with the dovetail interface. Interfaces can be swapped easily without tools by manipulating a spring-loaded capture pin and sliding them off the adjustment rail.

Vertical adjustment is easily accomplished by rotating a locking lever on top of the mount, then sliding the mount up or down the vertical rail. Once the desired height is reached, the lever is locked down. This is a significant improvement over the legacy system, which used a slow worm dial, and is easier to operate with gloves.

A shuttle switch allows the user to set the mount to either locked or breakaway mode. In locked mode, the mount will not detach from the shroud unless the release button is pressed. In breakaway mode, the mount releases from the shroud under a user-specified amount of force.

The breakaway mode is user-adjustable. A top-mounted set screw enables operators to set the required foot-pounds of pressure needed to release the mount.
