The mouth of the bag is elasticated with a shock cord, secured with a cord lock. This design helps the bag maintain a tapered “lobster pot” shape, while still allowing mags to be inserted fairly easily up to a point.
For full capacity, the mouth can be opened wide—the bag comfortably holds five mags when loaded carefully. With the mouth cinched down to roughly fist-sized, it can hold about three mags without much fuss.

It also features an offset bag and tab, which improves ergonomics when the pouch is worn on the left side.
